Sieve screens in the Tummers Millsifter (Flaker) reduce potato flakes down to the desired size so they can pass through the sieve perforations. As standard these are 6 mm but you can opt for various sieve perforation sizes. Hard lumps which cannot be broken down are removed as waste by the Millsifter. The good flakes are transported out of the machine to the packing section by a screw conveyor.
